Signing Ceremony of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Chandler Institute of Governance (CIG)

Institut Perkhidmatan Awam (IPA) today held a Signing Ceremony of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Chandler Institute of Governance (CIG) at Institut Perkhidmatan Awam. The event marked a significant step in strengthening collaboration on governance, leadership, and public service excellence.

The ceremony was graced by Yang Mulia Dato Seri Paduka Awang Mohd Riza bin Dato Paduka Haji Mohd Yunos, Deputy Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office, as Guest of Honour.

The event commenced with welcoming remarks by Yang Mulia Dr Hajah Noor Maya binti Haji Md Salleh, Director of Institut Perkhidmatan Awam, followed by a speech delivered by Mr Wu Wei Neng, Chief Executive Officer of the Chandler Institute of Governance and Chairman of the Chandler Academy of Governance.

A key highlight of the event was the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding, followed by the exchange of documents, symbolising the beginning of a new partnership. The programme continued with a presentation by Mr Wu Wei Neng on Measuring Government Capabilities, where he outlined practical approaches towards strengthening institutional effectiveness and enhancing governance capabilities.

The signing of the Memorandum of Understanding signifies a strategic partnership and shared commitment between IPA and CIG in advancing capacity-building efforts, fostering knowledge exchange, and enhancing governance and public service excellence. This collaboration is envisioned to pave the way for joint initiatives, knowledge-sharing programs, and capacity-building opportunities that will contribute towards a continuous, high-performing, professional, and resilient public service in Brunei Darussalam.

The event concluded with a networking session, providing an avenue for further engagement and dialogue among participants.
