Our Evolution Over the Years From Training Unit to Civil Service Institute
In January 1977, we began as Unit Latihan under the Establishment Office at Jalan Kumbang Pasang. By May 1993, we transitioned into the Institut Perkhidmatan Awam (IPA), focusing on management and administration training. The move to our current location at Jalan Kg Rimba in February 1997, accompanied by the introduction of the IPA logo, symbolised our progress and commitment to excellence.
Broadening Our Impact Expanding Services and Achieving Departmental Status
In 1999, we came under the Prime Minister Office (JPM), enabling us to diversify into ICT training and extend support to the private sector. Our journey culminated in April 2021 when we were elevated to a full-fledged department under JPM, reinforcing our dedication to innovation and professional growth.
