Sesi Perjumpaan Bersama Human Resource Development Ambassador (HRDA) dan Penyelaras Latihan (TC) Kementerian dan Jabatan 2026
Institut Perkhidmatan Awam (IPA) telah menganjurkan Sesi Perjumpaan bersama Human Resource Development Ambassador (HRDA) dan Penyelaras Latihan (TC) yang melibatkan wakil-wakil daripada Kementerian, Jabatan, Syarikat Berkaitan Kerajaan (GLC) serta syarikat swasta yang diadakan selama dua (2) hari secara berasingan, iaitu pada 8 dan 9 April 2026.
Sesi perjumpaan bertujuan untuk meningkatkan ketelusan, kepercayaan serta jalinan kerjasama strategik antara IPA dan Kementerian/Jabatan di samping memperkukuh komitmen bersama dalam usaha pembangunan modal insan Perkhidmatan Awam yang berkesan dan lestari. Sesi ini juga adalah untuk mempersiapkan tenaga kerja Perkhidmatan Awam dan memperkukuh keupayaan institusi dalam menghadapi kesan automasi melalui galakan dan peningkatan kemahiran digital, kebolehsuaian dan budaya pembelajaran berterusan.
Seramai kira-kira 200 orang peserta telah menghadiri sesi setengah hari ini.
Sesi termasuk perkongsian mengenai “Future of Work: Preparing the Workforce for Automation – Building a Future Ready Public Service” dan juga taklimat berhubung Program Pembelajaran dan Pembangunan IPA bagi tahun 2026/2027.
Sesi konsultasi antara IPA dan jemputan yang hadir turut diadakan yang memberi peluang kepada peserta untuk mendapatkan penjelasan lanjut mengenai program latihan, proses pencalonan, sistem pengurusan pembelajaran serta kemudahan yang disediakan oleh IPA. Pendekatan ini juga membolehkan maklum balas secara langsung dikumpulkan bagi penambahbaikan berterusan.
Ramadhan Talk Series 2026
Program signature IPA “Ramadhan Talk Series” pada kali ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kefahaman mengenai transformasi perkhidmatan awam melalui perspektif Maqasid Syariah, khususnya dalam menyokong Wawasan Brunei 2035.
Diadakan di Institut Perkhidmatan Awam berbentuk ceramah dan forum, ia turut menekankan kepentingan memupuk budaya organisasi yang berakauntabiliti dan inklusif, menjadikan Maqasid Syariah sebagai kerangka panduan dalam pembangunan dasar dan perancangan strategik, serta menggalakkan pembuatan keputusan yang beretika dan berintegriti.
Program setengah hari ini juga menegaskan peranan prinsip-prinsip tersebut dalam mempertingkat tadbir urus dan mencegah salah laku dalam perkhidmatan awam.
Persidangan Perkhidmatan Awam 2025
The Civil Service Special Conference, organised by Institut Perkhidmatan Awam, was held today at the Theatre Hall, Prime Minister’s Office, in conjunction with the 32nd Civil Service Day with the theme “Digital Transformation and Artificial Intelligence-Driven Innovation in the Public Service.”
The morning session was graced by the Guest of Honour, Yang Mulia Dato Seri Paduka Awang Mohd Riza bin Dato Paduka Haji Mohd Yunos, Deputy Minister (Civil Service Governance), Prime Minister’s Office.
In the morning session, participants heard from Professor Yaacob bin Ibrahim, Professor of Engineering at the Singapore Institute of Technology who shared on “AI in the Public Service”. Ms. Sigrit Siht, the Director of AI and Data at Digital Nation in Estonia delivered a session on “How to Make the Brunei Government AI-Powered: Insights from Estonia and Beyond”, Professor Prajapati Trivedi, a Distinguished Professor at Management Development Institute in India presented on “AI and Performance Management. Meanwhile, Yang Berhormat Chong Chin Yee, member of Brunei’s Legislative Council, inspired participants with a session titled “From Curiosity to Capability: Cultivating an AI-Driven Mindset”.
The afternoon session opened with a presentation by Dr Abby Tan, the General Manager of EVYD Technology entitled “From Data to Discovery: AI as a Catalyst in Modern Healthcare”. This was followed by a panel forum moderated by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Transport and Infocommunications, Awang Haji Mohammad Nazri bin Haji Mohammad Yusof, bringing together all the five speakers for an engaging discussion.
The afternoon proceedings were further distinguished by the presence of the Guest of Honour Yang Berhormat Pengiran Dato Seri Setia Shamhary bin Pengiran Dato Paduka Haji Mustapha, the Minister of Transport and Infocommunications.
The Special Conference brought together over 256 participants from the government sector, GLCs and foreign mission. Joining virtually were participants from the ASEAN Public Service Training Institutes (PSTI) Network.
Hari Pelanggan IPA 2026
Institut Perkhidmatan Awam (IPA), Prime Minister’s Office, successfully organised IPA Customer Day 2026 on Saturday, 24 January 2026 at Institut Perkhidmatan Awam, with the theme “Public Service Transformation”.
The event, attended by approximately 200 participants comprising representatives from ministries and departments, private sector and Government-Linked Companies (GLCs), served as a strategic platform to promote IPA’s programs and services, provide participants with comprehensive insights into IPA’s core services, and strengthen collaboration networks with ministries and departments, private sector, and GLCs.
The Customer Day ceremony was officiated by the Guest of Honour, Yang Mulia Pengiran Haji Raffizanna bin Pengiran Haji Razali, Deputy Permanent Secretary (Civil Service Governance), Prime Minister’s Office.
Key highlights of the event were the launch of IPA Learning & Development Programs for April 2026 till March 2027, followed by a Special Presentation on Public Service Transformation delivered by Professor Yaacob bin Ibrahim, Adjunct Professor at the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, National University of Singapore. The presentation provided valuable insights into progressive strategies and best practices for enhancing public service delivery.
Guests and attendees of the event also had the opportunity to visit the exhibition, showcasing an array of exhibitors from the public sector and GLCs. The afternoon session of the Customer Day also offered engaging clinical sessions on several important topics for the invited attendees.
Through the Customer Day 2026, Institut Perkhidmatan Awam reaffirms its commitment to strengthening partnerships, enhancing service delivery, and advancing public service transformation towards excellence.
Seminar on Artificial Intelligence in the Public Sector: Learning from Best Practices
Institut Perkhidmatan Awam today organised the Seminar on AI in the Public Sector: Learning from Best Practices. The seminar aimed to present elements of digital transformation and AI-based innovation in the public sector, highlight the use of AI applications that can improve efficiency and simplify daily work processes and share current issues or best practices related to innovation, digital transformation and AI in governance and public service delivery systems.
The seminar featured two presentations from international experts and practitioners in AI and governance, Ms. Sigrit Siht and Ms. Adhele Tuulas, Estonia co-delivered an in-depth session entitled “Deep Dive into Making AI Work in the Government of Brunei” followed by a presentation on “AI and Performance Management” by Professor Prajapati Trivedi, India. All presenters also shared approaches templates that could be of use pertaining to their respective topics.
The interactive Question-and-Answer session after the presentations has given participants the opportunity to directly engage with the speakers on opportunities and issues related to AI adoption in governance.
This seminar reflects the Government of Brunei Darussalam’s commitment to strengthening public sector capabilities through innovation, knowledge-sharing, and international collaboration. By drawing on global best practices, the nation seeks to accelerate digital transformation while ensuring effective and people-centric service delivery.
The half-day seminar gathered more than 200 participants, comprising from the government sector, higher education institution, GLCs and private sector. The event reflected IPA’s commitment to driving capacity-building initiatives and fostering digital readiness in support of Brunei’s public sector transformation agenda.
Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Chandler Governance Group (CGG)
Institut Perkhidmatan Awam (IPA) today held a Signing Ceremony of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Chandler Institute of Governance (CIG) at Institut Perkhidmatan Awam. The event marked a significant step in strengthening collaboration on governance, leadership, and public service excellence.
The ceremony was graced by Yang Mulia Dato Seri Paduka Awang Mohd Riza bin Dato Paduka Haji Mohd Yunos, Deputy Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office, as Guest of Honour.
The event commenced with welcoming remarks by Yang Mulia Dr Hajah Noor Maya binti Haji Md Salleh, Director of Institut Perkhidmatan Awam, followed by a speech delivered by Mr Wu Wei Neng, Chief Executive Officer of the Chandler Institute of Governance and Chairman of the Chandler Academy of Governance.
A key highlight of the event was the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding, followed by the exchange of documents, symbolising the beginning of a new partnership. The programme continued with a presentation by Mr Wu Wei Neng on Measuring Government Capabilities, where he outlined practical approaches towards strengthening institutional effectiveness and enhancing governance capabilities.
The signing of the Memorandum of Understanding signifies a strategic partnership and shared commitment between IPA and CIG in advancing capacity-building efforts, fostering knowledge exchange, and enhancing governance and public service excellence. This collaboration is envisioned to pave the way for joint initiatives, knowledge-sharing programs, and capacity-building opportunities that will contribute towards a continuous, high-performing, professional, and resilient public service in Brunei Darussalam.
The event concluded with a networking session, providing an avenue for further engagement and dialogue among participants.
