ESSAY WRITING COMPETITION

The competition is part of annual activities organized by Civil Service Institute. It is also an initiative to increase the number of essay collection which later publish as part of IPA's ways to share the information to public. The essays competition is a mechanism for the writers to share ideas, findings and perspectives on how to enhance Civil Service in the 21st century.

Requirements

• Opens to Brunei citizen and permanent resident of more than 1 year stay in Brunei
• Age 18 and above
• Applicant may submits more than one essay
• Essays submitted will be a property of IPA
• All essays must be authenticated from the writer
• Organiser has the rights to reject essays which does not fulfilled the requirements
• All essay must be submit in 3 hard copies and a soft copy
• One passport size photo

• Theme:
  • Leadership
  • Quality and productivity
  • Values and ethics
  • Information technology
  • Management in Islamic perspective
  • Financial management
  • Public Policy
  • and all other aspects of management
• Length : from 2,500 to 5,500 words
• Format :
  • Double spacing
  • One side A4 paper only
  • Font size 12 (font-type: Verdana)
• All essays must include synopsis/summary
• Must be in a form of academic writings which includes research, graph and data
• Language : Bahasa Melayu or English
• All quotes or reference must be referred or bibliography

• 1st place : $1,200.00
• 2nd place : $1,000.00
• 3rd place : $800.00
• Appreciation : $200.00
• Consolation : $50.00
